Development Officer in Anchorage, Alaska For Sale
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supervising the Marketing and Development team. The Development Officer fosters a culture of philanthropy within the organization. The Development Officer plans, coordinates and assures implementation of strategies to develop donors and contributions to support the organization, as well as assures development and maintenance of appropriate systems to fund development including but not limited to volunteer and donor management, research and cultivation, gift processing and recognition. The Development Officer maintains accountability and compliance standards for donors and funding sources.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experience. Three years of experience in professional fundraising or relationship based sales. Must be at least 18 years old, valid driver?s license, proof of auto insurance, continuous use of a vehicle. Must obtain Current TB test and pass a criminal background check prior to employment.
Preferred: Fundraising Certification; Membership in a professional fundraising association. Five years of experience in the communications and fundraising fields.
