It is a quick 10 minute walk to downtown proper and all of the activities and shopping the downtown area has to offer. Several parks in the neighborhood offer views of downtown, Mt. McKinley, Mt. Susitna, Cook Inlet, Knik Arm and the Port of Anchorage. A five minute walk will get you to world class salmon fishing in Ship Creek during fishing season. We even have fishing poles and bicycles you can borrow! Also a short ten minute walk is the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail where you can ski, bike or walk and enjoy the coastal beauty. The Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, The Egan and Dena''ina Convention Centers, and The Anchorage Museum of History and Art are just minutes away. The Iditarod starts less than a mile from the house. You can enjoy the winter festivities and be home in no time when you''re ready for some hot cocoa and a movie! Or, in the Summer, enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine in the backyard around the fire pit after a hard day of fishing, shopping or sightseeing. The house was built in xxxx and strongly withstood the xxxx Good Friday Earthquake. It has been continually and lovingly updated since we bought it in xxxx (We are the second owners).
