We CNC machine custom fishing lure molds for soft plastics and lead baits. Most of our customers are hobby bait makers or small garage shop manufacturers doing hand pours or hand injection.
One of the first questions many people ask is how much does it cost. Well, until you provide us more information we have no idea what will cost, but in general a custom mold costs 8-10 times what comparable a mass produced mold costs. However, most times people will want a custom mold because of a difficult feature or high level of detail that the mass production outfits deliberately didn't do because it adds to the cost. Really the best thing to do is send us some information, pictures, prototypes, or whatever and lets us work up a quote for you.
The next most often question we here is, "Can you make a knockoff of XYZ Bait Companies ABC bait?" We could probably could, but we won't. We will not knowingly make an exact copy of any current production bait. Besides unless you are just trying to capitalize on their hard work and their investment why would you want to? You aren't going to save any money making an handful of knockoff baits for you and your buddies this way. Just go buy a bag of their baits and spend the time fishing.
